Wazzzzzup with that

times are hard but still funny

Once upon a time, in a the office, there was a team of employees who had just gotten word that their over time hours were going to be cut. The news came during a meeting with Nutalla, who tried to sound serious but couldn’t quite hide the awkwardness.

“Alright, team,” the boss began, shifting nervously, “We’re cutting back on hours. Budget issues, you know. It’s nothing personal, just business.”

Now, one employee, Caveman, a bit of a prankster, immediately had an idea. He leaned over to his co-worker, Flax, and whispered, “I’m going to act like it’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Caveman raised an eyebrow. “What? Like, really milk it?”

“Exactly,” Caveman grinned.

So, when the boss finished speaking and everyone started to head back to their desks, Caveman stood up dramatically, clutching his chest as if he’d been struck by a bolt of lightning.

“Nooooooo!” he wailed, so loudly that even the janitor paused in confusion.

The entire office turned to look. Caveman staggered backwards like he was about to collapse, nearly knocking over his coffee mug in the process.

“Caveman, it’s really not that bad,” Nutalla called out, trying to stifle his laugh.

Caveman dropped to his knees in the middle of the room, looking up to the heavens, and howled, “But… but… I was just about to buy that shiny new… thing I wanted! How will I survive on my hours? WHO AM I WITHOUT MY FULL-TIME LIFE?!”

The room was completely silent for a moment. Then, the first snicker came from Bedaine in accounting, who immediately burst into a fit of giggles. One by one, the rest of the office joined in, until everyone was laughing hysterically, even the boss, who was shaking his head with a smile.

Caveman slowly got up, wiped his “tears,” and smiled. “Okay, okay, I’ll admit it. Maybe this isn’t the worst thing. But can I at least get an extra hour for lunch now?”

The boss, wiping tears from his eyes, said, “If you can work in some comedy routines during your hours, we might just be able to make that happen.”

And thus, Caveman’s career as an office comedian was born—his overtime might have been cut, but his status as the funniest guy in the office was forever secure.

The moral of the story? If life gives you cut hours, turn them into a stand-up routine!
